RAAGALAYA MUSIC COMPETITION 2011

Raagalaya Music Competition 2011 will be conducted on 29th January 2012 at Marol Education Academy,
Bhawani Nagar Marol, Andheri East, Mumbai from 9 am onwards. As in the past the competition will be held
in six different age groups i.e. Group – A (5 to 10 years), Group – B (11 to 15 years), Group – C (16 to 25 years),
Group – D (26 to 40 years), Group – E (41 to 60) and Group – F (61 and above).
The competition of the first 3 groups will be held in the morning and the remaining 3 groups in the afternoon.
The first 3 groups should register/report between 8 and 8.30 am. The remaining 3 should register/report between
1 & 1.30 in the afternoon.
Participants are allowed to sing light music /film songs from any language preferably Malayalam.
We shall be providing a keyboard and tabla as a support. There will be 2 first prize winners & 2 second prize winners
from each age group (1 male & 1 female each). The 1st prize winners (one male & one female) from each group will receive
their trophy and cash award from the hands of these artists at Shanmukhanada Hall. The 2nd prize winners from each
group will receive their award at the competition venue itself.
Interested participants are requested to fill the enclosed registration form and return the same along with a cheque
of Rs. 200/- drawn in the name of RAAGALAYA ACADEMY OF MUSIC & ARTS to our address

RAAGALAYA MUSIC AWARD- 2011
Raagalaya Music Award 2011 is announced !
Raagalaya Music Award 2011 is dedicated to the well-known Malayalam music director
Late. Shri Johnson Master. The awards ceremony will be held at Shanmukhanada Hall, King Circle,
Mumbai on 4thFebruary 2012 (Saturday) at 6.30 p.m. His family will receive the award consisting of
Raagalaya Trophy and cash award on 4thFebruary 2012.H.E. Governor of Maharashtra Shri K Sankaranarayanan will be the Chief Guest
The award function will be followed by a grand dance recital by the most popular actress Ms. Shobana & her
troupe and a grand musical evening comprising ever-green hits of Late Shri. Johnson Master presented by the
well known playback singers Madhu Balakrishnan, Shweta Mohan, Preetha Kannan etc. There will also be a mimicry
programme by the famous caricature artist/actor Jayaraj Warrier.
